Fall Bedding

I love the Fall on the East Coast! It is most definately my favorite time of year- cozy cardigans, cool breezes and the perfect excuse to cuddle under a wool blanket. As the cooler weather approaches I am on the hunt for some new bedding. Time to get those layers back on the bed, get rid of that light weight coverlet and pull out the feather duvet to get comfy with, yeah! Sage Sparrow Duvet set featured above from Night Byrd.

Sweet Thicket Duvet from Dwell Studio. I especially like this feminine set mixed with the more masculine stripped Draper shams.

I've got my eye on this Missoni throw in the sunny pink color. This lambswool throw would be perfect on my bed or on the sofa for cooler nights.

Was thinking about this duvet set from West Elm. Its a great price and I love the design, but without the shams available I am having second thoughts...

Gilded Birdcage Pillowcases and Thank you

Finally got to printing some of these new Gilded Birdcage Pillowcases! We created the print awhile ago from a photo of an antique birdcage that we found on one of our antiquing excursions, and I have been wanting to make some pillowcases ever since! I am very pleased with the way they came out! You can pick up a pair in our shop here.

Also wanted to give a special thank you to our newest retailer, The Purple Fern in Winchester, VA. Thanks, Sarah! Also a thank you for the continued support from Knack Studios in Greenville, SC (Thanks, Barb!) and The Red Pigeon in Australia (Thank you, Martine!) We love working with you all!

Branch @ Knack

There is nothing more exciting than seeing your designs and product styled up fabulously in someone's shop, so I was super excited to see our Branch Handmade pillowcases looking elegant and beautiful on Barb's blog at Knack Studio's. I am such a fan of her furniture and creativity so it makes it extra special to see our pieces alongside such beautiful work. Happy Monday!

Hettle

Hi guys! Sorry for being MIA all week- lots of excitement going on (I'll fill you in later on the details..) keeping me busy away from the blog. For my first and last *sorry* post of the week I wanted to take a moment to highlight a new pillow designer I discovered, Hettle. Unlike your ordinary, everyday throw pillow Hettle creates beautiful, sophisticated pieces filled with texture and romance. I can so picture these on a bed or sofa, better yet a sun filled window seat... Yumm!! Check out their great little shop right here.

Love this blue stripe ruffle pillow. Very unexpected combination which I am loving.

Very cute sweet rosette jersey pillow. Adorable! I love the clean color and machine washable too!

Ochre

I love the look of Ochre. Starting out as a London based line of contemporary products for the home, Ochre recently branched out opening a retail location in New York City. Mixing in their own collection with a variety of complimentary pieces from other lines, Ochre not only chooses elegant and unique pieces, but they also make an effort to sell product lines that are made under fair trade and green principles. Take a look at their well designed website or if you are in the NYC area make a stop at their brick and mortar local @ 432 Broome 10013.

I immediately fell in love with this delicate collection of pink porcelain bowls. I love the soft, muted colors against the glazed porcelain- they look so delicate and soft.

Amazing hand blown colored glass pots by Michael Ruh. I love the colors and they are perfect for condiments or olives...

Pretty and graphic silk lavender pouches. Perfect for enlivening a room or small space with a fresh clean scent.

Grounded

Grounded is a great brick and mortar store located in Encinitas, CA. With a mission to feature items that blend modern, clean design with an influence in nature, Grounded carries numerous quality brands that reflect their similar design aesthetic. Along with their retail store, Grounded is also a licensed landscape architectural design service, so while you are decorating your indoors they can help you take care of your outdoors as well! Click here for the fabulous Verner Patton bowls featured above designed with his premier 60's textile design.

Fantastic gift idea! I love this Eva Solo Self Watering Pot. Perfect for your friend or family member that is always traveling and their poor plants suffer the fate of dehydration. Features a set of self watering wicks that draw the water from the glass base into the soil.

We have featured these ventless fireplaces before, but I really like the shape of this Blomus Fireplace. Perfect for compact living!

On this freezing, windy day (its 8 degrees with the windchill!) I am about to make a big pot of tea for the rest of the afternoon. This pot would be perfect- nice to look at and does its job!

Lena Corwin

Many of you may know of Lena Corwin's work, most notably her beautiful textile designs and whimsical illustrations. Her work has a very carefree feel to it, which is what I think I enjoy best about it. She has a great little online shop with a selection of pieces from her line available. There you will find sweet melamine plates, comfortable throw pillow and other various textiles. Definitely worth a gander, you just might find that perfect gift you are searching for!

Loving this cute Travel melamine plate. The adorable illustrations bring back memories of my own cross country sojourns. Good gift idea for a travel crazy friend or family member!

Fun men's tie made from a light vintage fabric.

I think this is my favorite pillow available from Lena's collection. I love the yellow and blue colors and the layering of images. You can peruse all the items featured here.

Product Spotlight: Wool Throw Blankets/Toast

As winter is fast approaching, there is nothing more essential than a great, cozy throw blanket to wrap yourself in, throw across the sofa or curl up with in bed. I am always on the look out for a new, warm throw blanket and usually my favorites are mens-wear inspired patterns, cashmere, wool or plaid. A great source for a selection of comfy blankets is Toast, and the name says it all... wrap your self in one of these and you will be very toasty! Click here for the amazing herringbone, cashmere throw from Scotland featured above.

I love this beautiful Welsh Tapestry Bedcover. Not exactly a throw blanket, but I am sure it will do the trick! Made of undyed British wool, this cover was woven on a loom in the few surviving Welsh woolen mills. A vintage copy.

Nothing beats a classic plaid check cashmere throw. Love this color combo!

Bobby Berk Home

I happened upon a new home decor website Bobby Berk Home. They carry a wide ranging selection of goods, mainly focused on modern favorites like Dwell Studio, Gus Modern and Not Neutral. They have clean and easy to maneuver website, I especially like the eco- friendly section and the gift section with items grouped by price range is nice especially with the impending holiday season fast approaching. Click here for the regal Greyhound Linen Pillow by Thomas Paul featured above.

I love this chandelier wall light. Perfect for adding ambiance to a room, and you get a piece of art out of it too! Made by DuffyLondon and available in two size options.

Check out this cool stackable storage cube. Perfect for storing toys and books. I love the retro vibe with the star cut out. Best part is they are made completely out of recycled wood without formaldehyde laden MDF.

New designs from Thomas Paul. Have a look at the Sarah Linen Pillow in beet. I love the color and the bohemian feel.

The Paris Market & Brocante

The Paris Market is a retail store based in historic Savannah, Ga., but stepping inside you are immediately transported to another world with new and vintage goods that take their cues from abroad. The owners of The Paris Market were inspired by their love of travel and the many places they have visited and brought together their favorite pieces for their customers to peruse- everything from sweet smelling candles, to vintage furnishings, if you want to bring a little European elegance to your home look no further! If you live in the area make a stop by their brick and mortar locale (if you haven't already) @ 36 West Broughton Street. Click here for the very cool chandelier's made from wine spheres featured above.

This table immediately caught my eye. I love this unique design- it is not something you would often see. Featuring a rust finish on the iron table, this beauty is punctuated with an amazing riveted detail. I love that this table would work easily in a crisp, modern NYC loft or a hundred year old vintage farm house...

Great looking industrial counter. This would make a great entry piece- perfect for organizing mail, magazines, scarves, whatever you have that makes itself into a comfy mess by the front door!

I have always had a thing for vintage beverage dispensers and this Absinth 2 Spout Fountain is no exception.. Featuring a mouth blown glass bowl, so pretty!

Simplemente Blanco

I am constantly going back and forth in my design philosophy between a wild color palette and a soft clean ultra simple white palette. Pretty much, all it takes is for me to see an inspiring interior or furniture pieces in either one and I am sold... Looking at the site for Simplemente Blanco, I was immediately pulled to start ridding myself of all brightly colored pieces and start collecting clean whites, and natural woods. Check out their inspiring collection of clean textiles and fresh lighting- before you know it you will be throwing out all those colored ceramics and patterned throw pillows! Click here for the amazing wire knitted lamp shade featured above.

I love these pretty and simple log candle holders. Anything with exposed bark and natural lines works for me. Topped with simple white candles and they are ready for a mantle or dining table top. Check out the selection here.

I really like the handmade feel of these pillows with the block printed letters in green. The green on the white is the perfect color combo for a fresh feel. You can check out Simplemente's great pillow selection here.

I wish I was organized enough to think of storing my soil in a pretty soil bag like the one featured above. Usually my gardening dirt is a disaster, falling all over the garage and generally making a mess. Maybe I should consider one... Check out the other cute gardening supplies available.

Lekker

Lekker, which is Dutch for alluring, enticing, attractive and tempting is just that. Featuring absolutely stunning home accessories, unique lighting and kitchen products and quality furniture, Lekker covers the bases in bringing fresh products to a market place that is often over saturated with copy cats and inferior reproductions. With a store front in Boston, those of us that aren't lucky enough to live in the vicinity of the shop will have to take solace in the fact that at least there is an online place to check out their wares! Click here for the Teak Dining Table featured above and if you are in the Boston area stop by the store @ 1317 Washington Street 02118.

I am loving this storage cupboard, part of the new collection Teak Rough by Belgium manufacturer Ethnicraft. The natural teak with the stainless steel base is absolute perfection and I especially love the natural, simplicity of the doors. Amazing.

Check out these cool letters that spell out HANG and double as usable space... Can't beat that. From Italy, made by design company Seletti.

I have always been really intrigued by these wall mounted fireplaces with the flame generated from Ethanol. Apparently you mount it to any wall, fill it up and light it. We are always wishing for a fireplace and this seems like it would do just the trick.

Great looking, simple and clean black and white throw pillow. I love the nature inspired silhouette.

Luxury Lab Linens

If you are looking to take advantage of the impending cool/cold (depending where you live) weather by sprucing up your bed- look no further than Luxury Lab Linens. Created in 2006 Luxury Lab is a line of fun and graphic duvet sets, throw pillows and other bedding that is printed and sewn in India and made from 300 thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton. I love their graphic prints and how everything comes across as having a sense of humor and whimsy. Click here for Let Friendship Reign set featured above.

I love this duvet set, the Corvus Crest. The crow pillows are too cool and I love it with the duvet pattern. This set is kind of a mix of medieval and modern.

Luxury Lab has a new line of throw pillows, emblazoned with a visual problem solving riddle. I admit these hurt my head a little bit trying to figure them out, but they are still fun when you get them! Check out all three designs and stump all your guests! Can you guess the riddle on the one above?
