Hermitage

Happy Monday! Now that all (okay, most...) of our furniture have found homes in our new abode, I get to look at the fun stuff- accessories, textiles, decor- you know the cherry on top! If you are like me and looking for new pieces for a new place or looking for some way to spice up the old one check out Hermitage. Hermitage is located in Seattle, WA and has a great selection of goodies for the home. I am particularly smitten with their exquisite wallpaper selection. Love Elizabeth by Madison & Grow featured above.

The wallpaper featured above created by Lene Toni Kjeld really caught my attention. If you have ever encountered the problem of combining multiple paper designs in one room this collection, Walldecoration, is just what you need. Created to allow for soft transitions within a space Walldecoration can be used independently or combined. Very smart!

Now go ahead, get to work plastering this beautiful work to your walls, but before you go using that toxic wallpaper paste available at the local big box, check out this eco friendly diy recipe that you can use instead! Happy Earth Day!

Soda

Happy Monday! Hope everybody had a wonderful weekend and is looking forward to a productive week- I know I am! Starting off the week, check out the work of Chicago based designer Amy Allison and her beautiful and eclectic product line, Soda. Starting off as an interior and furniture designer, Amy has fine tuned her skills and has created everything from beautiful wallpapers and textiles to quirky and sweet clay pieces. You can take a look at her website for info on her wholesale collections of fabrics, wallpapers, clay and paper products as well as visit her etsy shop for unique one of a kind pieces.

Pretty and simple porcelain buttons. Love the hand knit, sweater texture.

Check out this adorable porcelain camper cup. Beautiful interior glazed with a sleek celadon color. I love the way the cup folds over itself...

I love this natural flax Belgian linen pillow. Hand screen printed in turquoise an image of building blocks- great little accent pillow!

Walnut Wallpaper

I love wallpaper. I dream of the day when I can fill an entire staircase with horizontal striped wallpaper. Wallpaper is a great way to add drama to a room or especially, a small space. The trick is to choose your patterns wisely and critically- because as fun as it may seem now to pick out and put up, we have all seen those sad 80's rooms with the dated floral borders and Laura Ashley dusty rose wallpapers that just make you want to leave!  Los Angeles based wallpaper studio Walnut Wallpaper is one of my favorite places to peruse for design inspiration for the walls. With an amazing array of richly toned patterns, endless options of textures and drop dead gorgeous designs its a great place to find something for your walls that wont make you cry in 10 years! Click here for amazing hand blocked printed wallpaper featured above. If you are lucky enough to live in the area, swing by their showroom @ 7424 Beverly Blvd to peruse the goods in person.

I have been in love with this horse patterned paper for a long time. I love the movement in the design, it is available in three color ways. Check it out here, along with a bunch of other great animal prints.

Walnut has a great selection of wallpaper prints inspired by the kids. Wallpaper is a great way to add design and interest to a room and to establish a theme or feel. Love this adorable sandal print for a lucky little gal.

Eco friendly is the way to go, not only with paint for the walls, but now wallpaper too! Walnut has a diverse and modern selection of prints that not only look good, but are good for you too! Love this Butterfly Jubilee print!

Blik

We got a great response from you guys on our Ferm Living posting, especially regarding the wall decals, so I thought you might enjoy this great online shop- Blik- that specializes in surface/wall graphics. The graphics created by Blik are great because they have a wonderful assortment of images created by artists and designers that we all know and love, like Charles and Ray Eames and Keith Haring as well as original graphics done by Blik that are equally well designed and inspiring. Another great benefit to the products by Blik is that they are created with the idea that you will want to change out the decal, so they are as easy to apply as they are to remove. Check out the decal featured above here designed by an intern group of the Working Class Studio of the Savannah College of Art and Design.

I love this design, the Classical Must Haves by Jan Habraken. Being an interior designer, I am in love with all styles of furniture and can see the beauty in most pieces, but in my own home I am always struggling on which way I want to go in terms of style- modern or classical...These decals are a great way to bring in classic style in modern and contemporary way. Love the colors!

This is a great Blik original, Chandelier. Simple and modern-this decal is available in black, white and burgundy and brings a bit of interest to any room.

Great Woodlands design! This product is part of Blik's re-stick collection, so these decals can be removed and re-positioned within a room or house. This is great especially for a baby or child's room so you can remove or take away certain aspects of the design as your child grows- although I think this design is great for any age!

Ferm Living

I have been a huge fan of Ferm Living since they put out their first collection of wallpapers and wall stickers. They have since branched out to other areas of home decor, still implementing their signature and amazing selections of patterns and colors. Now, not only can you find wallpapers and wall stickers, but also pillows, tea towels, paper goods, books and ornaments. I am most excited about their upcoming collection of bedding that is due out soon. For now, check out their great products available through their online store. You can see the Fairy Flower Gold Wallpaper above, here.

How cute are these cat and bird gift tags? I love the image and the simplicity. Perfect for birthday gifts or just to have hanging around the house.

For the inner fashionista, check out this great looking fashion pillow. With a simple silhouette and design this pillow has a linen and cotton blend cover with a down fill. Would look great on a bright colored sofa or a patterned side chair.

Look at this adorable animal tower wall sticker! Part of Ferm Living's Kid's Collection this sticker is sure to brighten up any child's room and their imagination! Available in multiple colors.

Velocity Art and Design

Velocity is one of my favorite online stores for anything modern and fabulous for the home. They have an amazing looking space in Seattle, WA that I am dying to visit, but until then the online destination will have to quench my thirst! Velocity is committed to providing a unique and diverse selection of home products that are a standard of quality, luxury and beauty. Check out their amazing products online or if you are in the Seattle area stop by 251 Yale Avenue North and let me know how it is! Check out the Molos Soft Wall above here.

Wow, wow, wow! That is all I can say for this amazing architectural piece. Created by design duo Egawa + Zbryk, this Puzzle Screen was featured in the 2001 I.D Magazine's Annual Design Review. I can just picture this in an open loft as a divider in the space. Available in birch or powder coated steel in either white or black.

How cool is this flip clock with 84 original drawings by Yoshitomo Nara for Cerealart! As each hour passes a new image is revealed.

Love this bright colored Mororso Nest Armchair! Perfect for an outdoor balcony or intimate garden, the eye popping color will definitely be noticed amongst shady plants.

Orla Kiely

I love the happy, colorful nature of Orla Kiely products. I also love her signature look, bright prints, bouncy colors and how you always know when something is made by Orla Kiely! Just last year Orla Kiely launched her homeware collection which featured amazing printed wallpaper and delightful dishware. Check out all her great products online.

Cute retro feel travel journal. The contrasting elastic band and the car print just pops out at you! Available in a spunky salmon or a more subdued tan color.

I love this silk and cotton blend Cube Print Dress. Perfect for the fall, just add a chunky sweater and knit tights and your ready to go!

Nestliving

Nestliving is a fun little studio located in Jacksonville, Fl. with a great looking, clean and simple online store. They feature all types of modern products from  furniture pieces by Vitra and lighting by Le Klint to graphic tea towels by Ferm Living. A great feature of their site is a section that categorizes everything by price so you can search for items under twenty-five dollars if you like. Check them out here or in Florida @ 1020 Park Street.  See the fantastic Cavern designed wallpaper featured above,  here.

We are big fans of our Tivoli radio, so I had to include this great looking modern and simple Tivoli design. If your not familiar with Tivoli, they honestly have the most amazing sound and they make a wide variety of designs that include ones that can be easily taken on trips. I love the contrasting maple wood and teal of this design, check out all the great designs here.

You can never miss with stripes and the same can be said for table linens by Unison! I love the look of this tablecloth, it looks like a mans shirt or a comfortable bed sheet... mix it up with some bright dishes and you have a table ready for a gathering!
Wow, now this is what I call a first car! Check out this amazing (and amazingly priced...) children's toy car. The design is based on the the very first Saab and outfitted with wood and metal steering wheel and wheels. Now this is a toy that you don't need to hide when company comes over!

Weego Home

Weego Home is a Santa Monica, California based home store with a great online site;  making their product collections easy to access no matter where you live. The premise of the store came as an alternative to the stark ultra-modern look of many home stores  and to incorporate pattern, color and life into any room of your house. They do this by bringing in such fun lines as Dwell Bedding, Thomas Paul and Jonathan Adler. Check out their great selection, as well as their surprisingly affordable sale section!

Love these (affordable, hurry they are from the sale section!) Melamine Gothic dessert plates. Can't get enough of the simple portrait design- definitely a great way to end a meal...

Check out these fabulous, graphic dish towels. Just the dash of color you need in the kitchen, may even be too pretty to dry dishes with! Does anyone know who the designer of these are? Can't seem to figure it out...

I was so intrigued by this piece, I had to include it. This Chandelier Wall Light is made from a digitally printed canvas with backlighting and is available in three different color-ways. This is the perfect way to bring that bit of gothic inspiration without going all the way.
