In my past life I was an interior designer and merchandiser, so I am always impressed by what stylists can pull together. Creating stories with objects is still a favorite past time of mine, especially when it is using more inexpensive pieces to get a beautifully pulled together look. These looks are really high end and look quite sophisticated. I am surprised how stylish they look. I went off IKEA because they became to homogenous, and every IKEA piece was recognisable. If you buy something from IKEA and have it in your home, everyone is going to know it came from there, which put me off. But this has changed my mind. I think clever use of accessorising is the trick.
