Virginia Johnson

I must be ready for Spring, all I want is happy, springy patterns around me and Virginia Johnson apparel and accessories are just the ticket! Virginia Johnson is a talented Canadian textile and clothing designer who draws her inspiration from nature and worldwide travels. Both of these aspects of inspiration are clearly visible in her designs which run the gamut from vibrant dahlias to whimsical elephants. Click here for the collection of fabrics that are available to be purchased by the yard  featured.

I love this red merino wool shawl decorated with an adorable dachshund. Such a cute decorative piece to keep you nice and cozy!

Perfect beach tote! Okay, I know I am begging for Spring to come and I am already skipping ahead to Summer.. Great navy artichoke print on this one.

Bright and cheery shift dress. Featuring an orange wheel design and made from organic cotton poplin. Breathable and great for a warm summer!

Room6

Room6 is a Canadian based brick and mortar store that features all types of interesting and fun products for home and self. Their products range from pieces from up and coming designers as well as more established manufacturers. They have a great range of items and the layout of their online store is easy to use with great informative descriptions and clear photos. Shop their store online here. You can check out the fox clock by Sesame Letterpress above, here.

For those of us who may be DIY challenged, check out this great owl pillow pattern by Atelier Chouette. You can customize your own pillow by choosing any combination of fabrics. Now anyone can feel like a designer!

Fall is the perfect season for teatime and Japanese manufacturer Beehouse makes the most adorable individual teapots. I love the tangerine, just the perfect color to warm you up on a cool fall morning. This teapot comes equipped with a steel diffuser for loose leaf teas. You can also pick up some organic loose leaf tea from Room6 here.

Loving these drinking glasses made by Brooklyn based designer Simrin. They feature a fun print and would make a great gift for a friends or even yourself!

Uppercase

Check out Uppercase for some old school inspired goodies. From books to stationary and totes you will find all types of fun items, some of which are inspired by the look of twentieth century education themes (think vintage gym class, knee socks and card catalogues) others which are made by Uppercase themselves. Check out this Field Notebook above here.

Who can't use a retro inspired classic metal pencil sharpener? Remember standing in line to with a handful of colored pencils? Now you don't have to wait your turn.... pick one up here.

Cute pens from Korean manufacturer mmmg. Available in four styles brown bear, polar bear, happy cloud or white dove.

I am a lover of journals, notebooks and anything to doodle in. I fell for this adorable Smart Woman Journal. Journal comes with a set of colored pencils and is inscribed throughout with phrases to inspire.

Xenia Taler

Anybody remodeling/redecorating a kitchen or bathroom? Look no further than Xenia Taler for amazing and beautifully crafted tiles for your counters, backsplash or anywhere that you want a bonus bit of beauty to admire. Xenia and her partner, Steven Koblinsky have been creating these little gems from their Toronto studio where they do everything from mixing the glazes to hand decorating the tiles. Don't fret if you don't need tiles for a wall, they also make tiles to be used as coasters and hot plates, as well as beautiful boxes. See for yourself. Check out Bird on a Vine.

There are so many amazing tile designs to choose from it was hard to pick just one that I liked. I really fell for this cute owl face, though, I love the close up of his big, wise eyes!

Too bad these are already sold out! I really need to pick up one of these Bubble Girl Boxes- perfect to stash loose change, keys and odds and ends that end up all over!
